PURPOSE: To easily form a blade portion corresponding to even a three- dimensional curved trim line by positioning and fixing a steel plate through welding to a work and cutting said plate along the trim line.
CONSTITUTION: In trim machining, a steel plate 7 is arranged along a trim line A to one face of a work W facing downward, so that the exterior edge of the plate 7 can project outward from the trim line A. The exterior edge is welded to the work. Next, the steel plate 7 is mounted on a jig 9, keeping the condition of facing upward through resin back-up material 8. Resin 6 is filled in a space between a machine frame 5 and the work W. After hardening of resin 6, the work W is cut together with the steel plate 7 along the line A by machining whereby a blade portion 4 having the edge matching the line A is formed.
