Title:
MANUFACTURE OF TWO-PHASE ALLOY PIPE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5980716
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To manufacture efficiently a long-sized two-phase alloy pipe having a large diameter at a low cost by properly setting the heating temp. of a two- phase alloy contg. Cr in relation to the amount of austenite, and manufacturing a pipe with an inclined rolling mill.

CONSTITUTION: A two-phase alloy contg. Cr and having 40W100% ferrite content at 1,100W1,300°C temp. zone is heated to about 1,230W1,300°C at which the austenite content is reduced to ≤30% in a heating furnace. The heated billet is formed into a seamless steel pipe by an inclined rolling system, that is, a so- called Mannesmann plug mill system.
