PURPOSE: To avoid the unnecessary work to cut off a dummy wire and the like and to stabilize the formation of an electrode by sealing together with glass beads with a bead mount at the opposite side electrode of an exhaust pipe, and making the height of the electrode the smallest.

CONSTITUTION: A glass bead mount is formed partially at the processing, and when it is sealed to a glass pipe 1, the glass pipe 1, an exhaust pipe 3, and glass beads 7 are sealed simultaneously at the exhaust pipe 3 side. As to the other side, the recessed form of the bead mount same as the exhaust pipe 3 side is used as it is, or a bead mount which is not formed yet is used, the glass beads 7 are sealed in the glass pipe sealing space, and the height l2 of an electrode is reduced. In this case, since the glass beads sealed together with the glass pipe simultaneously is made of a material same as the glass pipe and the exhaust pipe, there is no problem in the processing. In such a way, the manufacturing method of a stable electrode formation, and without an excessive process to cut off a dummy wire and the like can be obtained.
