PURPOSE: To manufacture a vacuum vessel by interposing active brazing filler metal between a nickel-plated layer formed on a brazing part of the beryllium plate by the brush painting method and the vessel to perform airtight brazing.
CONSTITUTION: The nickel-plated layer 12 is formed by the brush painting method on the brazing part of the beryllium plate 2. The active brazing metal 4 is interposed between this nickel-plated layer 12 and the vessel 1 and heated and the beryllium plate 2 is subjected to airtight brazing to the vessel 1. Consequently, spread outside the brazing part of the nickel-plated layer is prevented and nickel-plated layer can be formed only on a necessary part and the generation of an oxide film of the brazing part of the beryllium plate can be prevented, hence the vacuum vessel can be manufactured with good workability.
