Title:
MANUFACTURE OF WATER-FREE LITHOGRAPHIC PRINTING PLATE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS59190850
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To coat ink on the back of a base plate with good efficiency by a method in which ink is continuously coated on the back of the base plate and dried between a feed roll and a winding roll or between a curing process and the winding roll.

CONSTITUTION: Ink is continuously coated on the back of a sheeted base plate of paper, film, metal, etc., and dried during the period from coming out of a feed roll to a curing process or coming out of the curing process to a winding roll. In this case, a paint liquid composed of an ink-repellent and toner-bonding silicon primer, a cross linking agent, and a catalyst is continuously coated on the surface of the base plate sent out of the feed roll. After the curing process is passed, the base plate is wound around the winding roll to obtain a water-free lithographic printing plate. Ink can thus be coated on the back of the plate with good efficiency, and the coloration of the back can be allowed at the same time as the plate is manufactured.
