Abstract:
Water-soluble copolymers which comprise, in a random distribution, from 5 to 60 percent by weight of radicals of the formula I from 2 to 40% by weight of radicals of the formula II and from 38 to 93% by weight of radicals of the formula III and derivatives thereof which are obtainable by partial hydrolysis, where R<1> and R<2> are identical or different and are hydrogen, methyl, ethyl or, optionally together, alternatively trimethylene, Y is the -CO-NH-C(CH3)2-CH2- radical or a direct bond, and X<(+)> is a cation, are prepared by inverse emulsion polymerisation. The copolymer emulsions obtained can advantageously be used as assistants in deoiling sand and rock materials containing mineral oil.
