Abstract:
PURPOSE: To manufacture a high chromium cast iron excellent in wear resistance.
CONSTITUTION: At the time of manufacturing the high chromium casting iron having composition by wt.% composed of 2.5-3.7 C, 0.3-1% Si, 0.5-1.5% Mn, 14-18% Cr, 1-4% Mo, 0.5-1% V, 0.3-1% Nb and the balance essentially Fe, the part needing wear resistance is rapidly quenched.
