PURPOSE: To obtain the weather-strip, in which no wrinkle is generated on the surface thereof, by a method wherein the sealing side surface of a flat base section, wrapt by solid rubber, is formed by two layers covered by a thin film layer.

CONSTITUTION: The sealing section 12 forming side surface of the main body of solid rubber 11a is covered by the thin film layer 11b, formed simultaneously, so as to form a double layered structure provided with a hollow section 110 between the main body. The thin film layer 11b is curved and the length thereof is slightly longer than the opposing part of the main body. The base section of solid rubber, including a core member 15, is bent and is formed so as to have a U-shape section. In this case, the thin film layer 11b is adhered to the surface of the base section 11. The length of the thin film layer 11b coincides with the outer peripheral surface of the base section 11 when the base section 11 is bent into U-shape. The thin film layer 11b covers the main body of solid rubber, wrapping the core member 15 directly, under being adhered thereto, however, is separated from the main body section and, therefore, wrinkles will never be generated thereon by the recess and protrusion of the core member, which appear on the surface of the weather-strip, and the surface of the thin film layer is made flat.
