PURPOSE: To facilitate the manufacture of a double wishbone type suspending device and to improve its accuracy by dividing the device into a main body part and an arm part, and giving the joining part of the above parts a sectional area wider than the other portions, and shaving off the joining part to the sectional area of the other portions after connecting both the parts through friction pressure welding.
CONSTITUTION: A wheel supporting member 1 is divided into a wheel supporting main body part 2 and an arm part 3 for forming the member 1 into separated elements. The connecting parts 21, 31 of the parts 2, 3 are each given an area wider than a sectional area near a basic part to form flat connecting faces 22, 23, and joined by the friction pressure welding of the connecting faces 22, 32 respectively. The joined part of the parts 2, 3 is formed into its final shape by machining.
