Abstract:

PURPOSE: To manufacture the zinc can of good workability and an excellent corrosion resistance by using N-lauroyl-L-lysine independently or its mixture as a lubricant for can making.

CONSTITUTION: A zinc pellet heated to about 150 - 200°C is placed on a die with a recess corresponded to a can shape and is struck impulsively in the abovementioned recess from above with a push rod and the manufacturing of the zinc can is performed. On the manufacture of zinc can used for the negative electrode can of manganese dry cell by the abovementioned impact extrusion, the zinc pellet is previously given a coat of the lubricant by covering etc.. N-lauroyl-L-lysine is used as the lubricant independently or the mixture with graphite etc.. Thus the lubricity at the can making isn't deteriorated, the corrosion resistance of obtained zinc can is improved and the corrosion of zinc can after assembling cell and deterioration of performance of cell accompanied it are prevented.
