PURPOSE: To eliminate the flow of resin into a passage of a fiber sheet and prevent the deformation and break of the fiber sheet, by making a clearance of the passage of the fiber sheet shaped in a crosshead die adjustable in accordance with the thickness of the fiber sheet.
CONSTITUTION: A fiber sheet 5 heated at higher than a temperature of a molten resin is introduced into a passage 14 of the fiber sheet and impregnated with the molten resin in an impregnating chamber 12 which is filled with the molten resin supplied from a passage 11 of a resin liquid, guided out from a slit 13 as a resin impregnated sheet 7 and the resin is cooled, solidified by a cooling roll. Because the clearance of a narrow part 14a shaped at a lower part of the passage 14 of the fiber sheet is adjusted by adjusting bolts 15 to be nearly the same as the thicknes of the fiber sheet 5, the molten resin in the impregnating chamber 12 does not flow into the passage 14 of the fiber sheet, a pressure of the molten resin in the impregnating chamber 12 is maintained and the fiber sheet 5 in the impregnating chamber 12 is sufficiently impregnated with the molten resin.
