To provide a manufacturing apparatus and manufacturing method of magnetic recording medium which enable efficient and stable manufacturing of a next-generation magnetic recording medium which has a good servo section signal grade by an imprint and magnetic field impression means.
Provided are the manufacturing apparatus and manufacturing method of magnetic recording medium which has at least: a disk shape substrate; a mold structure having a concavo-convex section formed by arranging a plurality of convex-parts corresponding to a servo section and a data section of the magnetic recording medium on the surface of the substrate with the surface as a reference; and an imprint and magnetic field impression means which presses the mold structure to an imprint resist layer comprising an imprint resist composition on a magnetic layer of the magnetic recording medium, transfers a concavo-convex pattern based on the concavo-convex section of the mold structure, and performs magnetic transfer to the servo section by impressing the magnetic field through the mold structure.
