The manufacturing apparatus for a separation membrane element is obtained by winding the laminated material around a liquid collecting pipe, beginning with an end of the penetrated liquid passage material at the bottom layer. The manufacturing apparatus is equipped with an auxiliary means for preventing the leaf end of the laminated material from being inserted in the layer when winding the laminated material around the liquid collecting pipe.
