To provide a manufacturing apparatus of a water-repellent material and a method for manufacturing the water-repellent material capable of making fiber water-repellent at a low cost.
The method for manufacturing water-repellent material includes a feed roller 5 where an axis is disposed almost horizontally, a liquid feed roller 7 that has the lowermost point B at a position below the uppermost point B of the roller 5 and parallel disposed at a position spaced out at a predetermined distance with the roller 5, and a liquid feed device 17 that feeds a liquid containing a water-repellent resin upstream an outer peripheral surface of the roller 7, the water-repellent resin is fed from the roller 5 to the roller 7, with a carbon cloth C supported by a liquid-unpermeable PET film F, a lower surface of the film F contacts the roller 5, and both are conveyed, with an upper surface of the fiber contacting the roller 7.
