PURPOSE: To manufacture inexpensively a large number of cooling materials with specific forms (thick steel plate scraps for cooling a steel bath) by intersecting a shearing machine with V-form cutters with a material-feeding direction and, in addition, bringing a material-feeding position to one side for correction.

CONSTITUTION: A feed mechanism 3 is put in contact with the inclined lower end of a material loader 1 and provided in the direction intersecting with skid rail 2. At the rear end of the feed mechanism 3 is a corrective device 8 for material feeding positions and the materials are brought to the feed standard side plate 5 and corrected in order to control the material inserting position to the shearing machine connected with the rear end of the mechanism 3. In addition, the V-form shearing cutters are provided as a fixed and a movable cutter on the shearing machine 12 with corrugated shearing cutters and the shearing machine 12 is laid so that these shearing cutters may intersect with the feeding direction of the mechanism 3. Then, a chamfering machine 25 is equipped behind a selection device 14 for sheared pieces. In this structure, a plurality of cooling materials with specified shapes can be manufactured in a low cost.
