PURPOSE: To improve precision and reliability by alternately transferring a cleaning head which is cleaned in the second and third units into the first unit for applying varnish treatment and cleaning treatment for a magnetic disc medium.
CONSTITUTION: In the second and third units II and III having the stations for desorption, cleanliness check, washing, cleaning, and cleanliness check, a varnishing head 2 and cleaning head 3 which are held onto the head transferring machines 5 and 6 and cleaned are alternately transferred into the first unit I by the head transfer means 8 and 9. After, in the first unit I, cleaning processing is performed by the cleaning head 3, revolving a magnetic disc medium 1 by a driving part 7, varnishing treatment is performed by the varnishing head 2, and the floating-up characteristic is inspected by a floating-up testing head 4. Therefore, the breakage of the medium due to the adhering substance during the treatment is dissolved, and the medium having a high precision and high reliability can be obtained.
