Abstract:
To provide a method for efficiently manufacturing 1,2,3-propanetricarboxylic acid in a high yield by the hydrogen peroxide oxidation method.
The manufacturing method of 1,2,3-propanetricarboxylic acid comprises oxidatively cleaving 2-(2'-alkenyl)succinic acid by hydrogen peroxide in the presence of one or two or more catalysts selected from the group consisting of tungstic acid, molybdic acid and heteropolyacids thereof in a solvent.
