Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aluminum oxide precursor sol which suppresses a defect in the appearance of a film caused by the flocculation of an organic aluminum compound upon film formation by removing the organic aluminum compound from the aluminum oxide precursor sol, and which enables a surface rugged structure having antireflection performance at low temperature to be produced, and to provide a method for producing the aluminum oxide precursor sol, and a method for producing an optical member using the same.SOLUTION: The aluminum oxide precursor sol is produced through a process of producing an organic aluminum compound with a specified structure on an aluminum oxide precursor sol to promote precipitation and removing the organic aluminum compound. The method for producing an optical member includes a process of immersing an aluminum oxide film formed by feeding the aluminum oxide precursor sol to the surface of a base material into hot water of 60 to 100°C to form a rugged structure of aluminum oxide boehmite.
