Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for providing an alloy consisting of scandium and aluminum by generating metal steam of an alkali metal with low energy and at low cost, and reducing scandium oxide with the metal steam as a reductant.SOLUTION: There is provided a manufacturing method of an aluminum-scandium alloy by generating a metal steam by irradiating a mixture 1 of a metal material 11 containing calcium, magnesium or the like and a ceramic body 12 with a microwave, heating them and vaporizing the metal material 11, and reacting the metal steam with scandium oxide and aluminum.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
