Abstract:
To provide: anisotropic magnetic powder which is low in oxygen concentration, small in average particle size, narrow in particle size distribution, and high in residual magnetic flux density; and a manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to anisotropic magnetic powder comprising Sm, Fe, N and O, in which the content of O is 0.05 mass% or more and 0.65 mass% or less. Of the anisotropic magnetic powder, the average particle size is from 1.5 μm up to 7 μm, which is measured by a laser diffraction-type particle size distribution measurement device under a dry condition, the span defined by the formula, Span=(D90-D10)/D50 is 1.6 or less (where D10, D50 and D90 are particle sizes corresponding to 10%, 50% and 90% in integrated value of a volume-based particle size distribution), and the roundness is 0.75 or larger.SELECTED DRAWING: None
