Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods for producing anti-Leishmania compounds having anti-Leishmania activity and anti-Leishmania agents.SOLUTION: The method for producing anti-Leishmania compounds comprises the steps of: extracting leaves of HADONOKI (Oreocnide pedunculata (Shirai) Masamune) with an aliphatic alcohol to obtain the aliphatic alcohol phase; extracting the aliphatic alcohol phase with an alkane to obtain the alkane phase; and isolating from the alkane phase anti-Leishmania compounds represented by Formula I.SELECTED DRAWING: None
