Abstract:
PURPOSE: To manufacture the fine particle optimum for high record densification having high coercive force even if at small axial ratio by adding at least one kind out of iron carbide and metallic iron coated with a specific compound further containing carbon.
CONSTITUTION: The magnetic fine particles may contain at least one kind out of iron carbide and metallic iron coated with compound further containing carbon. At this time, as for the compound, the atoms in the third, fourth, fifth and sixth period in the second group in the periodic table and the fifth and sixth in respective groups may be contained as well as for the finer particles, the mean particle diameter and the mean axial ratio are to be respectively 0.01-2.0μm and 1-20.
