Abstract:
PURPOSE:To eliminate a groove work of a cam shaft outside diameter and thereby facilitate the manufacture of cam shaft by forming a lubricating channel in a hollow cam shaft and assembled components and by connecting both after fitting an oil hole suspension pin into the oil hole. CONSTITUTION:When a cam piece 2 and a journal piece 3 attached to a pipe- shaped cam shaft 1, a cylindrical oil hole maintenance pin 41 is forcibly inserted into pin holes 1' and 3' provided respectively in the cam shaft 1 and the journal piece 3 so that they may be communicated. With this construction, the thrust direction as well as the radial direction of the journal piece 3 can be fixed sufficiently, which can be also applied to the cam piece 2.
