In a manufacturing method of a bearing device which is equipped with a shaft member whose tip has a protruded curved surface and a plate-like thrust bearing member having a recessed curved surface abutting on the tip of the shaft member, a plate-like member 150 is employed to form a thin layer 180 of a fluid including a substance having either or both of lubricity and wear resistance in a portion in the plate-like member corresponding to a face of the thrust bearing member abutting on the tip of the shaft member. The recess for point-supporting the protrusion of the shaft member is formed in the thin layer 180 by pressing to the thin layer 180 a pressing member 300 including a protrusion constituted of a curved surface having a radius of curvature equal to or more than that of the tip of the bearing member after temporarily curing the thin layer. A thrust bearing member 100 having a film 190 in which a recess 115 for supporting the shaft member is formed can be obtained by actually curing the thin layer 180 after forming the recess.
