Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily synthesize a large amount of a boron nitride nanotube which does not contain impurities, such as carbon, and is suitable for practical use.
SOLUTION: Boron is thermally reacted with a reactive gas comprising at least either a nitrogen gas or an ammonia gas in the presence of a catalyst comprising nickel boride carried by alumina.
