To provide a manufacturing method of a brake disk, and a brake disk with high practicality, capable of suppressing an increase of manufacturing cost while maintaining desired performance even when a chamfered surface is formed on a corner part of an outer peripheral edge of the disk brake of which an outer peripheral shape repeats radial recesses and ridges.
The manufacturing method of the brake disk includes an outer periphery pressing step for press-forming the outer peripheral shape 5 of a rotor plate 2 of the brake disk 1 into a shape where the radial recesses and ridges 5a, 5b are repeated, and a chamfering step for forming the chamfered surface 6 by pressing a die 7 with a slope surface 7a abutting on a corner part 2d on an outer peripheral edge of the rotor plate 2, and plastically deforming the corner part 2d.
