Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a canvas for a drive belt capable of securing required productivity and quality concerning the production of a drive belt.SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing a canvas for an endless drive belt loaded to a mold for forming a belt sleeve includes setting a cutting angle (A) to change to an angle satisfying the relational expression of Y=2W×cosA to a reference angle, let a half of an intersection angle of an original canvas be a reference angle according to a double-folded width (W) so that a width (Y) of an opened canvas coincides with a maximum width capable of forming the belt sleeve of the mold in a process of making the opened canvas in which warps and wefts are arranged by an approximately equal angle each other obtained by spirally cutting a cylindrical canvas by a predetermined cutting angle to a longitudinal direction of the cylindrical canvas.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
