Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a carbon-fiber reinforced plastic capable of improving productivity while securing a strength, and to provide a carbon-fiber reinforced plastic.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a carbon-fiber reinforced plastic includes: a composite thread structure formation step S10 of weaving continuous composite threads 10 where the periphery of carbon fiber threads 12 containing a plurality of continuous carbon fibers is covered with a cover 14 having such a knitted structure that covering threads 14a made from thermoplastic resin are weft-knitted so as to manufacture at least one composite thread structure 16; and a heating and pressurizing step S14 of heating and pressurizing a laminate 18 formed by laminating one composite thread structure or a plurality of composite thread structures, melting the covering thread, and thereby embedding a carbon fiber thread structure 26 in a state where the carbon fiber thread is knitted with a thermoplastic resin.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
