Abstract:

To prevent fraying of yarn on both edges of a carbonaceous fiber woven fabric caused by operations of repeatedly winding and unwinding the fabric.

Both the edges of the carbonaceous fiber woven fabric made of the carbonaceous fiber yarn are cut into a saw-toothed pattern or a wavy pattern in such a manner that a size of the one unit of the pattern has a ratio (t/l) (l is a longitudinal length of the unit in the direction of the woven fabric; and t is a transverse length of the unit) of 0.2-5, so that the carbonaceous fiber yarn is prevented from fraying.
