Abstract:
To suppress density unevenness from occurring in ceramic balls made of raw material powder.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of ceramic balls includes: a filling process of filling a space formed by lower punches 3, 4 and a molding die 1 with raw material powder with ceramic being a main component; a pressurizing process of pressurizing the raw material powder by upper punches 5, 6 and the lower punches 3, 4 to form a ceramic ball stock sphere PB; and a calcination process of calcinating the ceramic ball stock sphere PB. The lower punches 3, 4 pass through the center of the ceramic ball stock sphere PB, and have an inner punch 3 arranged on the central axis and an outer punch 4 arranged outside the inner punch with the central axis parallel to a pressuring direction as a reference. In the filling process, the raw material powder is filled in a state where a pressurizing surface of the inner punch 3 is arranged at a position farther than a pressurizing surface of the outer punch 4, and in the pressurizing process, the pressurizing surface of the inner punch 3 is brought closer to the pressurizing surface of the outer punch 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
