Abstract:
To provide an artificial flower making the best of the characteristic of the Japanese paper which is a Japanese traditional craft and the characteristic of clay, utilizing especially the good moldability of clay, a peculiar material feeling obtained from the fiber of Japanese paper, and also functional characteristics such as flexibility, strength and water absorption of Japanese paper, and having strength, light weight, and decorative beauty arisen from a unique surface property peculiar to Japanese paper; and to provide a manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of an artificial flower comprises: a clay molding step A of forming clay molded parts 11 such as petals and leaves which constitute the artificial flower from clay; a cutting step B of cutting out Japanese paper pieces to be stuck 30 which are stuck on a part or all of the surface of the clay molded part 11; a sticking step C of forming Japanese paper stuck structures by sticking the Japanese paper pieces 30 on the clay molded parts 11; and an assembling step D of connecting the Japanese paper stuck structures to each other. Thus, a clay flower 2 is formed by this manufacturing method.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
