To provide a manufacturing method for a coated decorative sheet capable of industrially mass producing a coated decorative sheet imitating a design of a traditional art and craft lacquer ware with substantially the same tone and feel and the same pattern without necessitating the long experience and techniques of craftsman.
A chemical fiber cloth 1 having predetermined stitches is pasted to a substrate 2 to form a base coloring layer 3 by applying coating on the chemical fiber 1 and polishing the coating to show a pattern. A trimming die 4 is covered on the base coloring layer 3 to effect partial coating, forming a partial coloring layer 5 on the base coloring layer 3. At least the surface of the partial coloring layer 5 is polished. Top coating is applied to the polished local coloring layer 5 and the base coloring layer 3 to form a top coating layer 6 on these surfaces, creating a predetermined pattern with the partial coloring layer 5 and the base coloring layer 3.
