Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a cold-drawn tube, which can manufacture a high quality cold-drawn tube without phosphorous diffusion problem during heat treatment after cold-drawing, while preventing occurrence of sticking, gouging and chattering even under high humid working environment.
SOLUTION: A tube for cold-drawing is dipped in a solution containing either alkaline metal salt of boric acid or alkaline metal salt of boric acid with saturated fatty acid. The tube, having coating film of 4 to 20 μm thick on both inside and outside surfaces, is further coated with liquid lubricant over it and then subjected to cold-drawing.
