To provide a manufacturing method of a component formed by roll forming from a high-strength steel sheet and an ultrahigh-strength steel sheet, which is used to prevent generation of delayed fracture or brittle fracture.
The manufacturing method of the component formed by the roll forming from the high-strength steel sheet and the ultrahigh-strength steel sheet having a tensile strength of more than 780 MPa, includes a step to feed a steel sheet strip to roll forming equipment, and to pass through the steel sheet strip between roll stands opposite each other, then to deform the steel sheet strip by causing forming rollers to act on the steel sheet strip, in the roll forming equipment, a step to apply compressive stress to a plastic deformation region, and/or a step to remove the plastic deformation region by cutting or grinding processing. The compressive stress is applied by at least one kind of processing selected from stamping, swaging forging, bending, and overbending/returning, in order to prevent the brittle fracture by hydrogen in the plastic deformation region of the deformed steel sheet strip.
