PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a conical roller bearing which can suppress the generation of scratches of a conical roller and an inner ring, and a jig used for manufacturing the conical roller bearing.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a conical roller bearing (1) comprises processes a) to d). In the process a), conical rollers (13) are held at a resin-made cage (14) so that the conical rollers (13) are aligned in a circumferential direction. In the process b), the cage (14) is expanded to the outside of a radial direction so that a minimum inscription circle diameter (D13b) of the conical roller (13) becomes larger than a maximum outside diameter (D122) of a small collar (122) of the inner ring (12). In the process c), the inner ring (12) is inserted into the cage (14) which is expanded to the outside of the radial direction from the small collar (122) side, the inner ring (12) is assembled to the conical roller (13) and the cage (14), and an inner ring assembly is manufactured.
