Abstract:
PURPOSE: To eliminate the gap between the rim of a lid collar part and the container wall by correctly placing a lid during the impact compression treatment with the centering protrusion formed on a plate.
CONSTITUTION: A container 1 and a lid 4 are made of stainless steel, and a sheet 3 is made of pure aluminum. The sheet 3 is set in the lid 4 so that it can counter impact compression by the centering protrusions of at least three formed along the circular sheet 3 circumference. During the intermetal binding, both the constituting material of the sheet body 3a and that of the centering protrusion 9 flow to be unitized by the impact compression so that the gap no more exists in the sheet material. During the following plastic deformation, the sheet material forms an extremely uniform cross-sectionally circular rim 10 and is pressed on the lid collar 6. The impact compression and the following plastic deformation form a sealed part by the edge 11 of the collar 6 coming into the wall face of the container 1 and cause permanent deformation in the container 1 and the collar 6. The gap is so small that even pressurized cleaning water can not pass through, preventing corrosion.
