To improve the mechanical character of a cylinder block and a liner together by performing T5 treatment of the cylinder block and T6 treatment of the liner at the same time in an accelerated aging process of the cylinder block.
The manufacturing method for the cylinder block is composed of a process that manufactures an aluminum-group compound material with age-hardening-type aluminum alloy and manufactures a liner with the aluminum- group compound material, a process that solution heat treatment is performed on the liner, a process that the liner subjected to the solution heat treatment is covered with molten aluminum alloy and the cylinder block is molded, and a process that the accelerated aging treatment is performed on a piece of a cast of the cylinder block with the liner inside. In the accelerated aging process of the cylinder block, T5 treatment can be performed on the cylinder block and, at the same time, T6 treatment can be performed on the liner.
