PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a cylindrical member of high quality by a manufacturing method for the cylindrical member.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method for a cylindrical member includes: a process S11 of bending respective lengthwise ends of a plate material 101; a process S12 of performing primary edge penetration processing on the respective end faces of the plate material 101 having been bent; a process S13 of bending the plate material 101 into a ring shape; a process S14 of performing secondary edge penetration processing on the end faces 103 (104) of the plate material 101 having been bent into the ring shape; and a process S15 of joining the end faces 104 of the plate material 101 together.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
