Abstract:
To provide a method of manufacturing a cylindrical sintered member that can efficiently obtain an accurate squareness as to a squareness of a side face to an end face of a sintered member.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a cylindrical sintered member comprises a step of preparing a cylindrical sintered member and a step of sizing the sintered member, in which the sintered member comprises an inner peripheral surface, an outer peripheral surface, and first and second end faces connecting between the inner peripheral surface and the outer peripheral surface. In the preparing step, the sintered member is prepared having an inclining surface assuming gradually radially inner toward the second end face from a first end face side in at least one of the inner peripheral surface and the outer peripheral surface. In the sizing step, the sintered member is received in a space configured by a die, a lower punch, and a core rod such that the first end face is opposed to the lower punch, and the second end face is pressurized by an upper punch.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
