To provide a manufacturing method and manufacturing device of a connector having a rear-holder wherein the manufacturing device has a simple structure and wherein the downsizing can be aimed at.
In the device 1, after rear-holders 7a, 7b and a housing body 8 have been molded by a mold cavity, slides 11a, 11b are separated from the housing body 8. Next, by driving cylinders 16a, 16b, rear-holders 7a, 7b, holders 13a, 13b and slides 11a, 11b are made to move along with slide plates 14a, 14b, and the rear holders 7a, 7b are made to be positioned at the place opposed to face the housing body 8. Furthermore, by driving cylinders 19a, 19b, the rear holders 7a, 7b are biased in the direction of the housing body 8 to be temporarily locked. Accordingly because there is a little amount of movement of the main slides 11a, 11b and in particular there is no need to install the space letting them stand after the movement, the downsizing and the promotion of efficiency of the whole manufacturing device can be aimed at.
