To prevent deviation in position in a process for forming a uniform gap by pressurization, vacuum-package and the like after two electrode substrates are stuck to each other with good precision.
In a method of manufacturing liquid crystal display element including a stage for sticking the two electrode substrates 3 and 4 to each other using UV curing resin, a sealing part 2 of the UV curing resin forming an area necessary for the product is provided between the electrode substrates 3 and 4, a dummy sealing part 1 of the UV curing resin is provided at an area except the area necessary for the product between the electrode substrates 3 and 4, the two electrode substrates 3 and 4 are stuck to each other and then at least two parts of the dummy sealing part 1 are irradiated with UV to form the gap between the two electrode substrates 3 and 4 in the cured state of the dummy sealing part 1. The dummy sealing part 1 is partially cured by partially irradiating the dummy sealing part 1 provided in the area except the area necessary for the product with UV and deviation in position can be prevented in the post-stage for forming the uniform gap by pressurization, vacuum-package and the like.
