Abstract:
To provide a dielectric ceramic composition capable of preventing the localization of components in a dielectric layer by coating a barium titanate powder with an additive uniformly.
A barium titanate powder is added to an aqueous solution of a divalent water-soluble manganese salt and a water-soluble bromate or a water-soluble chlorate to provide a barium titanate suspension. This barium titanate suspension is heated to 60°C or above to precipitate manganese dioxide such that manganese dioxide adheres to the surface of the barium titanate powder. The barium titanate powder coated with manganese dioxide is thereby obtained as a dielectric ceramic powder.
