Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grinding process method of a disk for a half toroidal type CVT (continuously variable transmission), capable of performing highly efficient grinding process by setting a cutting amount during grinding process large, by reducing a size of quill part used for rotation of a grindstone to enhance the stiffness of the quill part.SOLUTION: An angle formed by a central axis of a disk 4 for CVT, a raceway 46 of the disk 4 being formed by grinding process, and a central axis of a grindstone 60, is set other than 90 degrees. Here, the central axis of the grindstone 60 is tilted in such a way that, as the central axis of the grindstone advances toward the grindstone 60 side, the central axis of the grindstone approaches the disk 4 more.
