To provide a method for manufacturing a double toothed belt, in which dispersion of the thickness of rubber is made small by using a toothed cloth stuck with unvulcanized rubber and a belt having a small pitch of a tooth part is manufactured and also an accurate tooth form is revealed even in the small pitch and molding time is shortened.
In the method for manufacturing the double toothed belt, a toothed cloth 5 stuck with an unvulcanized rubber layer 4 is wound on the outer peripheral surface of a grooved mold 1. A core wire 6 is subjected to spinning on the unvulcanized rubber layer 4 and thereafter heated, pressurized and formed into a vulcanized molded body 7 having a formed lower tooth part 12. Moreover, a toothed cloth 5' stuck with an unvulcanized rubber layer 4' is laminated on the outer peripheral face of the vulcanized molded body 7 through the unvulcanized rubber layer 4' and a beltlike molded body 9 is formed. Furthermore, the beltlike molded body 9 is heated and pressurized by a pressing mold 22 which has the same tooth shape of a constant pitch on the upper and lower boards and thereby the upper tooth part 11 is formed and also vulcanized and the double toothed belt is formed.
