Abstract:

To provide a manufacturing method of an electret having improved surface potential, and a manufacturing method of an electrostatic induction-type conversion element using the manufacturing method.

A manufacturing method of an electret includes the steps of: coating a composition for coating containing a cycloolefin polymer having solubility to be dissolved in xylene (25°C) at a density of 5 mass% or more and the glass-transition temperature of 120 to 160°C, and a solvent, on the surface of a substrate to form a coating film; and injecting electric charge into the coating film at a temperature equal to or higher than the glass-transition temperature of the cycloolefin polymer.
