To provide the efficient manufacturing method of electrode mix paste for an alkaline storage battery capable of enhancing dispersion of a various kind of additives added to an electrode in order to enhance battery characteristics while a polysaccharide stable under battery-using environment are used.
The manufacturing method depends on the assumption that two kinds of powder having different average particle sizes and the polysaccharide are contained, an average particle size of large powder A is made 8-35 μm and an average particle size of small powder B is made 0.1-5 μm, and the manufacturing method comprises a first process for kneading the powder B and the polysaccharide, and a second process for kneading the kneaded material in the first process and the powder A.
