Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a large-capacity and highly-efficient embedded magnet rotary electric machine that, while reducing manufacturing costs, suppresses eddy current so as to prevent damage to permanent magnets due to heat generation.SOLUTION: An embedded magnet rotary electric machine 20 includes: a stator 3 that has excitation coils wound therearound; and a rotor 21 that is arranged relatively rotatably across a predetermined air gap G from the stator 3. The rotor 21 of the embedded magnet rotary electric machine 20 has a rotating shaft 22, and a rotor core 23 that is formed integrally with an outer circumference of the rotating shaft 22. The rotor core 23 has: a plurality of disk portions 23a, with axial gaps H at predetermined intervals in between, that extend in a direction perpendicular to an axial direction; and a plurality of permanent magnets 25 that are embedded in the disk portions 23a through the gaps H.
