Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an endless metal belt capable of improving fatigue strength, by imparting high compressive residual stress, without causing productivity reduction and a large equipment change.SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of an endless metal belt is used for a belt type continuously variable transmission for making a ring body 5 through a solution heat treatment step (f) and a peripheral length adjustment step (h) after rolling processing by laminating a plurality of ring bodies 5, and comprises a short time heating step (g) of increasing yield strength by heating the ring body 5 in a short time before the peripheral length adjustment step (h) after the solution heat treatment step (f) and a compressive stress imparting step (i) of imparting compressive residual stress to the ring body 5 after the peripheral length adjustment step (h).
