Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent fraying of a narrow base fabric that constitutes a base fabric of a papermaking felt by being spirally wound to join end parts in a width direction.SOLUTION: A narrow base fabric (11) comprises warps (13), wefts (14) and entangled yarns (15). Two rows of leno (16) are formed by the entangled yarns at end parts in a width direction of the narrow base fabric. 50% or more of the wefts are single twist yarns so as to improve hooking of the entangled yarns to the wefts to prevent fraying. It is preferable that the single twist yarn is made by twisting three of the filaments 19 to 32 times per 10 cm.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
