Abstract:
To provide a manufacturing method of a film-catalyst layer junction capable of reducing problem occurrence such as wrinkle or break of polymer electrolyte film.
A manufacturing method of a film-catalyst layer junction includes the steps of: preparing a polymer electrolyte film; sucking the polymer electrolyte film on the surface of a first porous base, which covers the surface of a suction roll having a first air permeability to transfer the same and which has the air permeability smaller than the first air permeability; and applying catalyst ink to the sucked polymer electrolyte film. The air permeability of the first porous base is preferably 100 sec/100 ml or more and 2000 sec/100 ml or less.
